Biblical Prosperity And You

What is biblical prosperity? Is it the will of God to prosper you?

Some people think living a poor and humble life bring glory to God. Do you have the same opinion as them? Have you heard of the phrase, "As poor as a church mouse"?

What did the Apostle John talks about prospering?

3 John 1:2

Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.

Isn't that wonderful? Surely the LORD wants you to prosper not only spiritually and physically but also materially.

When the ark of the LORD was brought into Obed-Edom's house, "the LORD blessed Obed-Edom and all his household." 2 Samuel 6:11 Jesus is our Ark today and where Jesus is, there is blessings. Blessings follow Jesus and when we follow Jesus, the blessings follow us!

If you go through your Bible and study the lives of the really rich people such as Abraham, Solomon and so many more; you would have noticed they are not only in great health but also rich in cattle, land, gold and silver.

So if riches is bad for them, wouldn't God take the riches away?

Expanding His Kingdom With Biblical Prosperity

Churches need funds for printing materials to distribute them freely to the lost souls. Missionaries need to be send into countries and places to reach out the gospel to the lost. To sum it up, a lot of money is needed to expand His kingdom.

It is the right of Christian believers to be prosperous. If a poor believer shared with non-believers that their God is a good God and He wants to bless them, the non-believers might wonder why God is not blessing this person physically.

How do we tell others that our God owns the whole universe and is a rich God if we remain poor?

True believers in Christ may be poor today but they will not remain poor forever! Because the Bible says that you are a fruitful tree and will not cease from bearing fruit even in the year of drought! (Jeremiah 17:8)
